It’s not very often we get the chance to dress up and so we were delighted to swap the aprons for tuxedos on November 24 to attend the annual Butchery Excellence Gala Dinner, which was held for 2018 in the Valley Hotel, Fivemiletown.
Lisdergan Butchery was nominated in three categories this year and we were absolutely thrilled to win the ‘Retail Convenience Store of the Year’ award for our Eurospar store in Fintona. The excitement didn’t stop there though – our very own Master Butcher Ian McKernaghan was honoured on the night to receive the prestigious Butchery Excellence Ambassador Award! This award was in recognition of Ian’s commitment and leadership to Team Ireland Butchery in his role as Vice Captain, and also of his gold medal achieved at the World Butcher’s Challenge, held in Belfast in March. Everyone connected to Lisdergan Butchery is extremely proud of these achievements and a great evening was had by all!
